Our vision of sales

Notre vision des soldes
We have decided to be transparent with you about our decision to make sales .

Solidarity Sales VS Fast Fashion Sales

At Perus, as you know, we have chosen to offer the same price all year round because it is the only way to fairly remunerate each person who contributed to the product, from its manufacturing to its delivery, and to make a donation to the Los Chicos de Cusco association for a strong social impact.
Today, the absurdity of “Fast Fashion” sales lies in:
  • Inflating prices all year round to give the impression of low prices during sales
  • The production of lower quality and lower cost collections for the sole purpose of being sold
  • The social cost: low production cost = low-paid artisans
  • The environmental cost: sales encourage overconsumption of unsustainable clothing, going against the grain of current climate issues.
We do not follow this logic as a brand whose credo is to do the next right action every day.

The origin of the sales:

The madness of sales as they are known today was born in 1830 in one of the first Parisian department stores: the Petit St-Thomas

Historically, sales were used to empty shelves to make room for future projects. It is in this logic that we now offer solidarity sales.
At Perus, since our beginnings, we have operated by pre-ordering and adjusted with measured restockings to avoid overconsumption.
We know that the sales period is a key moment for consumption.

Our objective with solidarity sales is not to encourage overconsumption but to make ethical fashion more accessible and thus encourage eco-responsible purchases to those in “Fast Fashion”. Participating in our solidarity sales means:

- Benefit from advantageous prices for ethical consumption.

- Being able to buy stylish and responsible products at low prices.

- Allow us to reduce our stock to make room for future projects

It's the season of warm sweaters and we want to give you the opportunity to buy a 100% natural wool sweater , produced in an artisanal way and which helps finance the schooling of a disadvantaged child, rather than buying a "Fast Fashion" sweater with a very (very) negative social and environmental impact.

For each item purchased, a day of school is funded for a disadvantaged child .
For each item purchased, artisans are fairly remunerated.
For each item purchased, you support ethical fashion, the search for natural materials, the fashion of tomorrow which must be that of today.
